Terms & Conditions

Publisher: Ahmed, an individual publisher based in Saudi Arabia.

Support and privacy contact: ahmedfalahalharthi@gmail.com.

Effective October 25, 2026 · WebLimit version 1.1.2.

Please understand the core behavior: WebLimit can close all open tabs for a selected website after your chosen time plus a 3-minute grace period. Unsaved work may be lost. Use it only on websites and devices where that behavior is appropriate.

1. Publisher, agreement and eligibility

These Terms & Conditions are between you and Ahmed, the individual publisher of WebLimit — Website Blocker & Focus Timer in Saudi Arabia. Contact: ahmedfalahalharthi@gmail.com. Review these Terms and the Privacy Policy before choosing Agree & Enable in the installed extension. If you do not agree, keep protection disabled and uninstall the extension. You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement or valid authorization where applicable law requires it. A person who has not agreed is not bound merely by reading the website.

2. License and price

This version is provided free, without an account, subscription or in-app payment. Subject to these Terms, the publisher grants a non-exclusive, worldwide license to install and use this version for its disclosed functionality. Ownership of original code, branding and assets is not transferred. Redistribution, publishing modified copies, or removing proprietary notices requires permission unless an applicable law or separate license permits it. Third-party components retain their own licenses; the bundled Inter font is subject to the SIL Open Font License. Nothing restricts security research, interoperability, reverse engineering, or other conduct that applicable law permits despite a contractual restriction.

3. What you choose and what happens

You select which websites are timed and choose 5, 10, 20, or 1–360 whole minutes. Timers use continuous wall-clock time, including time spent in background tabs. A website and its matching subdomains share a timer across tabs and refreshes. A more specific listed subdomain takes priority and has its own timer; disabling that subdomain makes it an exception to its parent rule. At expiry the page becomes grayscale and displays a reminder. After three further minutes, WebLimit requests closure of matching tabs and opens a reflection page. Leaving early, pausing protection, or removing a site changes what remains restricted. Read the visible controls before making a change.

Save work before timing a website. Do not include a website where loss of a form, call, draft, transaction, session, examination, upload, download or other unfinished activity would be unacceptable. Exclude or disable such a website before starting a consequential activity. The product does not determine the meaning, value or consequences of your webpage activity for you.

4. Your responsibility for your choices

You are responsible for selecting appropriate websites, durations and settings; using devices and accounts you are authorized to control; maintaining needed backups; complying with applicable law and third-party rules; and deciding whether the product is suitable for your circumstances. Test the product on a non-consequential page before relying on it. Verify its behavior and stop or disable it if it behaves unexpectedly. You are responsible for consequences to the extent caused by your informed choices, unlawful use, intentional misuse or material breach, subject to the publisher’s own obligations and mandatory law.

Do not use WebLimit to unlawfully restrict another person’s access, interfere with emergency or essential services, evade legal obligations, distribute malware, impersonate the publisher, or infringe third-party rights. Compatibility with a website is not authorization from its operator. The publisher is not a party to your transactions or agreements with websites.

5. Product boundaries and no promised outcomes

WebLimit is a voluntary browsing aid. You can disable or remove it or use a browser/profile without it. It is not an unbreakable lock, a parental supervision or enterprise security system, a network filter, or a medical or mental-health treatment. No dopamine, addiction, health, academic, financial or productivity result is promised. It does not prevent selected websites from making network requests before or behind a visual prompt.

Chrome internal pages, the Chrome Web Store, protected browser surfaces and certain embedded content do not permit normal content-script operation. Incognito requires separately allowing the extension. Chrome scheduling, sleep, updates, connectivity, site changes, browser restrictions and operating-system behavior can delay, interrupt or prevent a prompt, timer, grayscale effect or closure. A browser or website may require confirmation before closing an unsaved page. No precise deadline, universal compatibility, uninterrupted service or successful outcome is guaranteed. These limits do not remove remedies that mandatory law gives you.

6. As-available service and lawful limits on liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, this free product is supplied as available without additional warranties of error-free operation, uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose or compatibility with every site. The publisher does not promise future features, indefinite hosting, support response times, or ongoing distribution. Binding representations and obligations that cannot lawfully be disclaimed remain effective.

To the extent legally valid in your circumstances, the publisher excludes contractual compensation for loss resulting from failure or delay in providing this free product, including indirect or consequential losses and losses attributable solely to user-selected settings, authorized automatic closure, unauthorized use or third-party conduct. Any exclusion applies only to the extent the relevant loss can lawfully be excluded. It does not exclude or limit liability for fraud, gross negligence, harmful acts, the publisher’s own unlawful conduct, death or personal injury where liability cannot be limited, or other non-excludable responsibility. It does not waive consumer, privacy or other mandatory rights, prevent a claim before a competent court or authority, or make the publisher immune from suit.

7. Limited indemnity for unlawful or intentional misuse

Only where lawful and enforceable, you agree to indemnify the publisher for third-party claims, damages finally awarded by a competent court or agreed in a settlement you approve, and reasonable documented legal costs, to the extent directly caused by your unlawful use, intentional misuse or material breach of these Terms. This does not cover loss caused by a defect or the publisher’s breach, negligence, gross negligence, fraud, harmful acts, unlawful conduct or responsibility that cannot be shifted. If both parties contributed, it applies only to your attributable share.

The publisher must promptly notify you, reasonably cooperate and mitigate avoidable loss. You may participate in the defense. Neither party may settle a claim imposing a payment, admission or obligation on the other without consent. You retain the right to dispute a claim and seek a remedy. This clause is subject to applicable consumer and other mandatory protections.

8. Privacy and third-party services

The Privacy Policy describes local settings/history, the hosted manager, Cloudflare delivery and Gmail support. A terms acceptance record is stored only locally. Agreement to these Terms is not consent to unrelated processing or advertising. Third-party websites, Chrome, Cloudflare and email services have their own terms and practices. Their availability or conduct is not controlled by the publisher, except for responsibilities the law places on the publisher.

9. Updates, termination and removal

You can stop using, pause or uninstall the extension at any time. The publisher may issue proportionate updates, fix security issues or discontinue future distribution/hosting subject to applicable law, existing lawful license rights and any mandatory notice/support obligations. Local features of an installed copy do not require a publisher server. A material breach may justify termination of the license only where lawful, with notice and an opportunity to remedy when appropriate or legally required. Urgent action may be taken for serious unlawful misuse, material security risks or binding legal requirements, subject to law.

Material changes to these Terms require renewed acceptance before affected features operate. Changed terms do not retroactively waive accrued rights. Ownership, lawful user-attributable indemnity, liability and dispute provisions survive only where their nature and applicable law permit.

10. Governing law and dispute forum

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the extent this choice is permitted. Subject to mandatory jurisdiction rules and non-waivable rights, contractual disputes are assigned to the competent courts having territorial jurisdiction over the publisher’s domicile in Saudi Arabia, exclusively only to the extent legally enforceable. This does not deprive a consumer of a forum guaranteed by mandatory law, prevent urgent relief or a regulatory complaint, bind a non-party, or impose compulsory arbitration or a class-action waiver.

You may contact ahmedfalahalharthi@gmail.com to try to resolve a concern voluntarily. Contacting support is not a prerequisite to a legal claim, does not shorten statutory deadlines and does not prevent urgent relief or complaints.

11. Interpretation and mandatory rights

No website, brand, platform or browser vendor is represented as endorsing WebLimit. The product name and descriptions must accurately describe its functions. Informal or third-party statements do not create extra guarantees unless the publisher is legally bound by them. A failure to enforce a clause once does not waive later enforcement where law permits.

If a provision is invalid, it is disregarded or limited only as applicable law permits; otherwise valid terms continue. No replacement may expand an exclusion beyond lawful limits. Mandatory obligations and protections prevail over conflicting wording. You do not accept responsibility for conduct that the law assigns to the publisher merely by installing or using the product.
